As I wrap up Course 3: Network Security, I can say it’s been a challenging but rewarding experience. One of the tougher concepts for me was understanding firewalls and how they work in different setups. It was tricky to figure out the differences between packet filtering, stateful, and application-layer firewalls at first. What really helped was rewatching the videos, taking notes, and using examples from real-world scenarios to make the concepts stick. The practice quizzes also gave me a chance to clear up any confusion.
Moving forward, I want to explore intrusion detection systems like Snort and get a deeper understanding of how they help secure networks. I’m also interested in learning more about network segmentation and how zero-trust security models are implemented. This course gave me a great foundation, and I’m excited to keep building on it.
